Tickets

Bristol’s ears are being spoilt again as we prepare for our Soundclash pt. 2 in mid-March with our friends over at AKA. This time we head to the city’s best kept secret, a gem hidden within the industrial area of the Old Market quarter: Dare to Club. This underground venue combines intimacy and mystery in its attempts to be one of Bristol’s best. The dark basement, still showing evidence that this was once a Swinger’s club provides an incredibly intimate dance space. In turn the main room sees a smokey hue and light show coalesce, presenting us with Dare to Club.

Line-up:

Desert Sound Colony [Holding Hands Records]

Desert Sound Colony is a DJ, producer and label boss who plays, makes and releases music focussed firmly on the dance floor. Well, that’s the simplest way of describing what Liam Wachs does. If you’re familiar with his outstanding releases on Holding Hands, his much-loved label, or you’ve caught him playing at leading clubs and festivals like Panorama Bar, Love International, fabric or Dimensions, you’ll know that it runs much deeper than that. An enduring love for house, garage, breakbeat, techno and electro are all vital parts of the fresh, modern DSC sound.

K-Lone [Wisdom Teeth]

Born and raised in London, K-LONE is now based in Brighton. Adopting his production handle, he co-founded the Wisdom Teeth label with fellow experimentalist Facta, and quickly grabbed attention with a 2015 split-EP with Etch. A year later, he paired with L.A. rapper Ill Chill for the Rare Jewels EP on Wych. In 2017, he delivered yet more spacious, dub-techno cuts with the In the Dust EP on the Paris-based Soundman Chronicles. K-LONE has released an eclectic breadth of music spanning from UK Techno, UKG, Dubstep and House records on his own label as well as Idle Hands, Soundman Chronicles, Dr Banana & Banoffee Pies.
